If you are using Bell/Aliant as your service provider you need to read this!

Money, it's a crime

Ok so there isn’t a lot of choice around for who to use as your internet service provider in these parts. And as much as it pains me to admit it, the others are so bad that Bell Aliant are probably your best bet. But they might also be your most expensive.

What am I talking about?

Email.

As a business client of Bell Aliant you are entitled a certain number of email addresses as part of your high speed package. However once you go over this number you are charged each month for each additional address. For example there is a package that comes with 5 email addresses, for each account after that there is a $4.00 per month fee.

I have clients who have been paying $4.00 a month for each of their 12 additional accounts for a few years now. Thats $48.00 a month or $576.00 a year just for some additional email addresses. Now you may think that’s not bad, you might be more inclined to think it wasn’t bad if they didn’t mess around with their mail servers all the time and not bother telling anyone.

The reason I’m bringing this to your attention is because there is another way.

$120.00 a year gets you as many email accounts as you want with no size restrictions and much greater reliability.

As you might have guessed the $48.00 a month that was going to Bell Aliant now covers the $120 a year for their email through me and the rest goes back as company profits to them.

As the saying goes, a dollar is saved is the same as two dollars earned.
